Shoppa Pads
Canterbury Mazda is the largest
sole dealership in New Zealand. Our task at Avatar was to take the
existing site (thus keeping the same URLS) and implement a new design
and wrap a shopping cart around it using WordPress.
I'd used WP e-Commerce before
it's probably the best cart for WordPress out there now and integrates
fine with DPS.
All the vehicle pages use Fancybox to include data from the NZ Mazda site and that proved to be
the most challenging part of the build.

Canterbury Mazda
Absolute New Zealand is a fully licensed travel
agency specialising in luxury adventure holidays. I was responsible for
implementing a custom WordPress theme that made use of taxonomies in
order meet the client's search filter requirements.
Tour Options
were handled by the Custom Field Template, with some tours requiring up
to 90 fields to prevent the client interfering with html markup.

Absolute New Zealand
Adventure Trailrides offers
off-road dirt bike and quad bike tours in New Zealand's South Island.
The design was refreshed using WordPress and the result was an
attractive site with fully editable tours (CFT
template), an integrated gallery using NextGen with dynamic image resizing.
The biggest hurdle was the integrating
of the Cforms payment
form with a third party payment service. The client had regimented
beliefs with form operations so jQuery was used to extend the form and
provide dynamic updating to tours / motorcycle options.

Robinson Brown provides a wide range of professional legal services to
its clients in Canterbury, New Zealand. Tonic Design hired me to
undertake the project with the contraint that they could still maintain
edibility through Dreamweaver's template system.
The result was
a clean and minimal design that the client can maintain themselves.

Glenthorne
Station is a 62,352 acre high country station nestled on the shores of
Lake Coleridge, South Island, New Zealand.
The project allowed me
to gain further understanding with WordPress's template system and the
following plugins - all have which have become Avatar core plugins: CFT, All
in One Seo, Site
Map Generator,Page Mash.
The main goal of the site was to allow the client to maintain content
and easily swap out images. The CFT and custom programming allowed this
to happen.

Although
I prefer to build with WordPress, this Joomla project - the Southern
Cochlear Implant Programme - is a successful site that clearly explains
the benefits and outcomes of such an operation.
A nice template with
easy module management allows the staff to easily manage their content
and news articles.

Southern Cochlear Implant Programme
My first project undertaken at Avatar Web Promotions. We worked
closely with USave to ensure the new site was consistent with their
brand image.
The result is a stylish and attractive site
featuring Flash animation, a revolving advertising banner, a jQuery
specials pop-up and a quick quote function.
